While adding “The Arcade” at the Boulevard Mall to the slowly growing collection of known local arcades, I came across a blog entry on their site:
John’s Incredible Pizza will be opening its doors this fall in the former Dillard’s building and will occupy close to 60,000 sq. ft. filled with fun and food for the entire family.
Here’s an artist rendering of what they expect the entrance to look like:
John’s Incredible Pizza looks to be a crazy mashup of an upscale Chuck E Cheese, with a Shakey’s Pizza buffet, and Gameworks. All-you-can-eat pizza, fried chicken, salad bar, desserts, etc. For “fun” it’s expected to have a small bowling alley, miniature golf, bumper cars, and something called “Twister,” an intense spinning experience. Though the full press release says the location will have over 100 games, I fully expect 80% of them to be redemption-based games. I have my fingers crossed that they’ll have some good arcade cabinets, maybe a couple racing games.
The venue will also have numerous party rooms for birthday parties, private events and business meetings.
I would totally have an important business meeting there.
